Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 10, 2026 · Applies to SudoSodoku for iOS, v2.0.0 and later

This page summarizes the canonical policy, which lives with the app's source code: PRIVACY.md. The short version, straight from the file:

root@ios:~$ cat PRIVACY.md
We do not collect your data.Everything the game knows about you is stored locally on your device. We operate no servers, embed no analytics or advertising SDKs, and never see your data. The only online feature is Apple's Game Center, which is optional and operated by Apple.

On your device, and nowhere else

The app keeps a single local save file containing your game history, your local ELO rating and statistics, and your achievement progress — all generated by your own play. This data is never transmitted off your device by the app. The app works fully without any network connection, and its App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.

Game Center (optional, operated by Apple)

The app never requires an account and never blocks play behind sign-in. If you choose to sign in to Game Center, then when you complete a puzzle the app submits your solve time, your updated ELO rating, and achievement unlock events to Apple's Game Center service, where leaderboard scores are visible to other players. Your Game Center display name and photo are shown on screen only — never stored in the save file, never transmitted by the app. Game Center is operated by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy.

Third parties

None. The app contains no third-party SDKs, no analytics tools, no advertising networks, and shares data with no one. No tracking, no data brokers.

Retention and deletion

Local data stays on your device until you delete it — deleting the app deletes the save file and all local game data. Game Center data is retained by Apple under Apple's policies; manage it in Settings → Game Center or at privacy.apple.com.

Children

SudoSodoku is rated 4+. It shows no ads, contains no in-app purchases, no chat or user-generated content, and collects no data from anyone, including children.
